Articles Submission Guidelines
Last updated: 30 October 2026
wArticles is an open publishing platform: registered authors write and submit articles, and our editors review each one before it goes live. These guidelines explain what we publish and what we don't. They follow Google's Search Essentials, Google's spam policies and the Google Publisher (AdSense) policies, and they form part of our Terms and Conditions. By submitting an article you agree to both.
Quick checklist
- The article is your own original work, written in English, and has not been published anywhere else.
- You own, or have a licence to use, the featured image.
- Title: 2 to 12 words. Content: 300 to 1,000 words.
- At most 2 links, none in the first paragraph.
- No heading tags (h1 to h6), and no images or videos inside the article body.
- Featured image: JPG or PNG, exactly 670 x 376 pixels, under 200 KB.
- One article per day, in the category that fits it best.
- Nothing from the prohibited content list below.
1. Original work and your rights to it
- Submit only content you wrote yourself, or content you have the written right to publish. Do not copy, rewrite or "spin" other people's articles, product descriptions or web pages.
- Do not submit articles that are already published on another website, including your own. Duplicate articles are rejected or removed.
- Short quotations are fine when they are clearly marked and credited to their source.
- You may use AI tools to help you write, but you are responsible for the result: check every fact, edit the text so it is genuinely useful, and make sure it does not reproduce someone else's work. Mass-produced, low-value text written mainly to get links or rank in search engines is not accepted.
2. Images
- Upload a featured image only if you took it yourself, created it yourself, or have a licence that allows it to be published on a third-party website (for example a paid stock licence or a free licence such as CC0). Keep proof of the licence: we may ask for it.
- Do not take images from Google Images, social media, news sites or other websites. "Found on the internet" does not mean free to use.
- Do not remove or hide watermarks, credits or copyright notices.
- Do not show identifiable people without their permission, and never show children in a way that identifies them without a parent's or guardian's permission.
- Do not put email addresses, phone numbers, postal addresses or other contact details in the image.
- Do not use other companies' logos or trademarks in a way that suggests they endorse your article.
3. Quality: write for people
- Write to help or inform the reader, not to please search engines. Give real information, examples or experience.
- Be accurate. Support facts and statistics with reliable sources.
- Health, money, legal and safety topics need extra care: give general information only, cite trustworthy sources, and do not present yourself as a doctor, lawyer or financial adviser unless you are one. Never discourage anyone from getting professional help.
- Do not stuff keywords, repeat phrases to fill the word count, or write misleading or clickbait titles.
- If you are paid by, work for, or earn a commission from a company you write about, say so clearly in the article.
- Do not attack, defame or make false claims about other people, companies or competitors.
4. Links
- Up to 2 links per article, and none in the first paragraph.
- Links must be relevant and useful to the reader, and must point to safe, working pages.
- Every link to another website is marked
rel="ugc nofollow", as Google recommends for user-submitted content. Links on wArticles do not pass search ranking credit, and we do not sell links. - Do not link to sites with prohibited content, malware, phishing, download or streaming piracy, or link networks.
5. Title
- 2 to 12 words, describing what the article is really about.
- No HTML, URLs, author names, slang, profanity or keyword lists.
- No names of prescription drugs.
6. Format and category
- English only, 300 to 1,000 words, plain paragraphs and lists. Heading tags, images and videos are not allowed in the article body.
- No personal contact details (email, phone, address) in the article.
- Choose the most specific category: writing articles go under Writing, not Education; internet topics under Internet, not Technology; shopping under Shopping, not Business; health and fitness under Health and Fitness, not Sports.
- You can submit one article per day.
7. Prohibited content
We do not publish articles that contain, promote or link to:
- Sexual or adult content, escort or dating services for adults, or anything that sexualises minors.
- Violence, gore, shocking content, self-harm, or content that threatens or harasses anyone.
- Hate speech, or content that discriminates against people because of race, ethnicity, religion, disability, age, nationality, sexual orientation, gender or similar characteristics.
- Weapons, ammunition, explosives or replica weapons; illegal drugs, steroids, cannabis or marijuana; tobacco and vaping; promotion of alcohol.
- Prescription drugs sold online, miracle cures, or unproven health claims.
- Gambling, betting, lotteries or casino sites.
- Hacking, cracking, password retrieval, spyware, or instructions for illegal activity.
- Pirated films, music, software, streaming or download sites, and counterfeit goods.
- Scams, get-rich-quick schemes, pyramid schemes, fake reviews, fake documents, or academic cheating services.
- Political or election misinformation, or content that deceives readers.
- Other people's personal information, or content that invades someone's privacy.
- Anything else that is illegal, or that breaks Google's publisher policies.
8. Review and removal
- Every article is reviewed by our editors before it is published. Submitting an article does not guarantee that it will be published.
- We may reject, edit for formatting, recategorise, unpublish or delete any article, at any time and without notice, if we believe it breaks these guidelines, our Terms and Conditions, or the law.
- A published article cannot be edited from your account. To ask for a change or removal, contact us from the email address of your account.
- Accounts that repeatedly break these guidelines, or infringe copyright, are closed.
9. Copyright and content complaints
- Authors are solely responsible for the articles and images they submit. wArticles does not check every claim or the ownership of every image, and does not endorse what authors write.
- If you believe an article or image on wArticles uses your copyrighted work, or breaks the law or your rights in another way, email info@warticles.com. The Terms and Conditions list what to include. We remove or disable material that is clearly infringing as quickly as we can.
- When we receive a valid legal complaint about your article, we may remove it and share your account details with the rights holder or the authorities where the law requires it.
10. Inactive accounts
Please keep your account active by logging in and publishing at least once every 2 months. Accounts that stay inactive for a long time may be removed.
